About Lamelas Law, PC
Ramon Lamelas, Esq. is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law—a designation held by approximately one half of one percent (0.5%) of all attorneys in California. As of July 2025, he is one of only 13 Spanish-speaking Certified Specialist Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law attorneys in San Diego County.
Ramon is the immediate Past President of the Santa Monica Bar Association and serves as Co-Chair of its Trusts & Estates Law Section. He is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association (Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section), the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Trusts & Estates Law Section), the State Bar of California (Trusts & Estates Law Section), and the American Bar Association (Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section). He is also a member of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego. He is an active member of the University of Southern California Latino Alumni Association, including participating in the USC LAA's Scholarship Review Committee.
He has been selected by Super Lawyers® as a Southern California Rising Star every year from 2023 through 2026, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys.
Ramon graduated cum laude from the University of La Verne College of Law and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California in Political Science and Spanish. He is also a graduate of Loyola High School, Los Angeles.
